About

Heather Davis Miller

Heather Davis Miller is an environmental designer and conservation practitioner with deep roots in landscape ecology, state and federal conservation policy, and on-the-ground habitat design.

Her work bridges the gap between regional conservation science and site-level design — translating state conservation priority frameworks, wildlife action plan priorities, and biodiversity stewardship principles into landscapes that are beautiful, functional, and ecologically meaningful.

She brings particular expertise in terrestrial and riparian ecosystem connectivity, and in the relationship between conservation practice and the communities that make conservation possible at scale. The environmental practice runs alongside her organizational effectiveness consultancy — two distinct bodies of work animated by the same question.

"Every property I work on exists within a landscape that is larger than itself, and within a community that has more conservation capacity than it knows. My job is to design in a way that makes both of those things visible — and actionable."
